Psychiatrist

Join our team of committed psychiatric providers at Ìtùnú Psychiatry, a Black-owned, woman-led practice delivering high quality mental health treatment to patients throughout the state of California. We specialize in reproductive mental health while also providing general psychiatric services.  

About this Role

  • M.D. or D.O degree 
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible, fully licensed and able to prescribe medications in the state of California 
  • Diagnose mental health disorders by conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations 
  • Create personalized treatment plans that may involve a combination of psychotherapy, medications, and lifestyle modifications 
  • Coordinate patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team with both Ìtùnú and community providers 
  • Productivity based model with no minimum hours requirement, with additional revenue potential as caseload increases 
  • Full control of clinical schedule 
  • Primarily remote with possibility of part time in person patient care 
  • Opportunity to build and lead a team of Nurse Practitioners 

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Eager to make a difference in patients’ lives and contribute to our growing practice 
  • Comfortable working with clients who have experienced reproductive mental health challenges 
  • Willing to collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary, integrated practice in developing treatment plans for patients 
  • Understand patients’ needs and find the best approach to helping them achieve their goals
