Sinmi Bamgbose founded Itunu Psychiatry because she is passionate about understanding and addressing the complex relationship between hormones and mental health. Dr. Bamgbose obtained her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, and completed her residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, with a distinction in Women’s Mental Health. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, a certified integrative psychiatrist through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, CO, and a proud member of the Candlelit Therapy Advisory Board and Maternal Mental Health NOW Black Birthworkers Advisory Council.
As a first-generation Nigerian American and the daughter of a clinical psychologist, Dr. Bamgbose is proud to continue her family's legacy of providing high quality mental health care.
